Around 1490, the Renaissance master created the original drawing from the proportions described by the 1st-century BC Roman architect Vitruvius. Portraying a "Universal Man," it captures the classical ideal of beauty, harmony and symmetry of the human frame. Neoclassical Pop Art created the burgundy and black image on this pair as a new original, a Pop homage to the master drawing.
