According to Egyptian myth, Horus lost his left eye in a struggle with Seth, The God of disorder, and warfare. The eye was magically restored by Hathor, Goddess of Love, and his recovery came to symbolize the process of formulating unity and healing. For this reason, the Eye of Horus was often used in talismans and is a magical symbol believed to provide protection, health, and rejuvenation.
The eye is mathematically divided into six parts each responsible for a different human sense such as smell, hearing, seeing, etc. and gazing into the eye of Horus is a form of meditation that activates and balances all the senses.
