Product Description
Space Vitruvian — blue-orange executive.
Blue and orange keep the Vitruvian dial energy on the foot.
The source is Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man (Studio di proporzioni del corpo noto come Uomo vitruviano), c. 1490 (Accademia exhibition label: 1498), Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (cat. 228) — an ideal figure in two poses, inscribed in a circle and a square. Original and new, the blue and orange composition is a Neoclassical Pop Art homage to the master work in the Pop idiom.
Neoclassical Pop Art keeps the proportion study and dresses the pattern in contemporary colour. The old masters meet pop culture: the geometry stays recognisable, the feeling becomes wearable, and a museum sheet becomes part of the day.
Wear them when the rest of the outfit stays monochrome.
A collectible statement piece where the old masters meet pop culture, made for true art lovers.
A Neoclassical Pop Art pair of socks.
