Product Description
Tiger Vitruvian — ankle socks.
Tiger pattern meets proportion study at the ankle.
The source is Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man (Studio di proporzioni del corpo noto come Uomo vitruviano), c. 1490 (Accademia exhibition label: 1498), Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (cat. 228) — an ideal figure in two poses, inscribed in a circle and a square. The print on these socks is new and original Neoclassical Pop Art, made in Pop homage to the Renaissance master drawing.
Neoclassical Pop Art keeps the proportion study and dresses the pattern in contemporary colour. The old masters meet pop culture: the geometry stays recognisable, the feeling becomes wearable, and a museum sheet becomes part of the day.
Choose them for days that refuse a plain sock.
A collectible statement piece where the old masters meet pop culture, made for true art lovers.
