The source is Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man (Studio di proporzioni del corpo noto come Uomo vitruviano), c. 1490 (Accademia exhibition label: 1498), Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (cat. 228) — an ideal figure in two poses, inscribed in a circle and a square. Neoclassical Pop Art created the silver image on this watch as a new original, a Pop homage that reimagines the Old Master original.
