Product Description

Is your room or office asking for a little flair? Love Aristocratic high-class painting? Look no further. This glitzy Pop Portrait is exactly right for you.

The Neoclassical Pop Art artwork โ€œCountess of Neoclassical Pop Artโ€ is inspired by Jacques-Louis David's painting "Portrait of Anne Marie Louise Thรฉlusson, Countess of Sorcy," created 1790 and currently located at Neue Pinakothek, Munich, Germany. The Geneva banker Jacques Rilliet had two sisters, and Anne Marie was one of them. She married a Royal and enjoyed a privileged life providing her the opportunity to be painted by Jacques-Louis David, a preeminent French painter of the era.

Highly respected for leading the Neoclassical style, Jacques-Louis David completed a large number of portraits during his career of established figures from the upper classes and aristocracy producing some of the finest portrait paintings in the 18th and early 19th century.

During the French Revolution he was politically active as the art dictator of the French Republic, and he later served Napoleon in developing Empire style. The Portrait of Anne Marie Louise Thรฉlusson was commissioned to decorate her mansion on the outskirts of Paris, and it makes a perfect piece for a living room.

This is a collectible original artwork. It was created as an original contemporary painting by the Neoclassical Pop Art studio. Made for true art lovers, it is a collectible statement piece where the old masters meet pop culture.
