Product Description
A backpack that takes the Renaissance to work. The design is a Neoclassical Pop Art tribute: a Renaissance figure set beneath an ancient symbol, recoloured as new art. The ideal man under the All Seeing Eye looks as good with a tailored suit as with a weekend jacket.
The design is “The All-Seeing Vitruvian”, Neoclassical Pop Art's reworking of “Vitruvian Man” by Leonardo da Vinci, a drawing housed at the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. The added eye turns geometry into symbolism for the daily commute.
The original Vitruvian Man drawing was created by Leonardo da Vinci around 1490, based on the proportions described by the 1st-century BC Roman architect Vitruvius. It portrays a "Universal Man" and represents the perfect classical approach to beauty, harmony, and symmetry of the human frame. The Neoclassical Pop Art artwork features the Vitruvian Man standing in front of the Eye of Providence pyramid, iconography representing the eye of God watching over humanity.
