Product Description
A symbol-rich bag for people who like meaning in their gear. Neoclassical Pop Art paired the eye with the Renaissance figure, creating a new design from two old symbols. The eye watches over the ideal man, and the duffel is light, durable and easy to sling over a shoulder.
Neoclassical Pop Art's “The All-Seeing Vitruvian” turns Leonardo da Vinci's “Vitruvian Man”, preserved at the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, into a Pop emblem with an eye at its peak. It gives a gym bag a design with meaning behind it.
The original Vitruvian Man drawing was created by Leonardo da Vinci around 1490, based on the proportions described by the 1st-century BC Roman architect Vitruvius. It portrays a "Universal Man" and represents the perfect classical approach to beauty, harmony, and symmetry of the human frame. The Neoclassical Pop Art artwork features the Vitruvian Man standing in front of the Eye of Providence pyramid, iconography representing the eye of God watching over humanity.
