Product Description
Two nights away, one ideal man. The figure comes from the Renaissance; the eye above him and the Pop colour come from Neoclassical Pop Art, whose Pop tribute makes this a new artwork. The oversized tote carries the figure of perfect proportion under the All Seeing Eye, with a wide mouth and thick rope handles for the beach or the city.
“The All-Seeing Vitruvian” is new art: a new Pop take on “Vitruvian Man” by Leonardo da Vinci, held at the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, crowned with a watchful eye. On a weekender, the image becomes a travel sign for clear sight.
The original Vitruvian Man drawing was created by Leonardo da Vinci around 1490, based on the proportions described by the 1st-century BC Roman architect Vitruvius. It portrays a "Universal Man" and represents the perfect classical approach to beauty, harmony, and symmetry of the human frame. The Neoclassical Pop Art artwork features the Vitruvian Man standing in front of the Eye of Providence pyramid, iconography representing the eye of God watching over humanity.
