Product Description
A pouch for brushes, cables or cosmetics, with the ideal man keeping the small things in order. Its colours are Neoclassical Pop Art's original take on the Renaissance study, so even a pouch carries new art. Sizes run from small to large for a day out, the spa or a long trip.
“Vitruvian Man” is Neoclassical Pop Art's new Pop take on Leonardo da Vinci's ink-on-paper drawing “The Vitruvian Man”, created c. 1490 after Vitruvio and kept at the Gabinetto dei disegni e delle stampe of the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, Italy. Its colours make even a small pouch carry a piece of art history.
The original Vitruvian Man drawing was created by Leonardo da Vinci around 1490, based on the proportions described by Vitruvius, the 1st-century BC Roman architect whose De architectura is the oldest surviving book on architecture. Known as "Le proporzioni del corpo umano secondo Vitruvio," or the "proportions of the human body according to Vitruvius" demonstrates how the blending of mathematics and art provoked the Classical Renaissance symmetry and harmony.
