Product Description
Green-yellow Vitruvian — ankle socks.
Bright greens under a cuff keep the walk light.
The source is Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man (Studio di proporzioni del corpo noto come Uomo vitruviano), c. 1490 (Accademia exhibition label: 1498), Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (cat. 228) — an ideal figure in two poses, inscribed in a circle and a square. The green and yellow artwork on this pair of socks is newly made, original Neoclassical Pop Art, a Pop-bright homage to the original drawing.
Neoclassical Pop Art keeps the proportion study and dresses the pattern in contemporary colour. The old masters meet pop culture: the geometry stays recognisable, the feeling becomes wearable, and a museum sheet becomes part of the day.
Pull them on for park loops and gallery queues.
A collectible statement piece where the old masters meet pop culture, made for true art lovers.
