Titled "Vitruvian Man, Perfectly Pop", the Neoclassical Pop Art laptop sleeve celebrates the return of the "Vitruvian Man" initially created by Vitruvius, the 1st-century BC Roman architect whose De architectura is the oldest surviving book on architecture. The Original drawing is known as "Le proporzioni del corpo umano secondo Vitruvio", 'The proportions of the human body according to Vitruvius', and it illustrates the blending of mathematics and art provoking the Classical Renaissance symmetry and harmony. The Renaissance drawing is the point of departure; the image itself is a new and original Neoclassical Pop Art work, a Pop reimagining in homage.
Vitruvius' initial sketch was published in his book, known as the earliest Italian architecture book. It inspired Leonardo da Vinci's famous ink on paper drawing "The Vitruvian Man", created c. 1490, currently at the Gabinetto dei disegni e delle stampe of the Gallerie dell'Accademia, in Venice, Italy.
