Product Description
Red zebra — Vitruvian Space Man executive socks.
Red zebra remains the clearest ankle signal.
The source is Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man (Studio di proporzioni del corpo noto come Uomo vitruviano), c. 1490 (Accademia exhibition label: 1498), Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (cat. 228) — an ideal figure in two poses, inscribed in a circle and a square. The image is an original Neoclassical Pop Art work, made new as a Pop homage to the original drawing.
Neoclassical Pop Art keeps the proportion study and dresses the pattern in contemporary colour. The old masters meet pop culture: the geometry stays recognisable, the feeling becomes wearable, and a museum sheet becomes part of the day.
Wear them with black loafers and nothing else loud.
A collectible statement piece where the old masters meet pop culture, made for true art lovers.
A Neoclassical Pop Art pair of socks.
