Product Description

Blue and orange, the classic complementary pair, around a handful of cut sunflowers. The pairing is deliberate: this Neoclassical Pop Art tribute turns a Post-Impressionist bouquet into a new, high-contrast artwork. This oversized beach towel brings Paris-period colour to the sand and the bathroom alike.

“Parisian Sunflowers” is Neoclassical Pop Art's original take on Vincent van Gogh's iconic painting “Four Cut Sunflowers”, created in 1887 and now at the Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo. In blue and orange, the complementary pair the painter loved, its version makes the bouquet sing.

The unusual composition of a few cut sunflowers gone to seed is one of the high points of Van Gogh Parisian period.

Botanical, bright and built for sun.
